
The world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton holiday sand tree returns to the West Palm Beach waterfront.
The Holiday in Paradise Tree Lighting takes place on Thursday, December 4, from 6 – 10:00 p.m. and ends on Wednesday, December 31—the light show will extend on New Year’s Eve through midnight.

Sandi, the world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton holiday sand tree, is back! This year’s Holiday in Paradise, Presented by FPL, the theme is “Sandi Shares Harmony,” starting with a dynamic light and music show until New Year’s Eve. Ferris, our 50-foot Ferris wheel, and Sandi’s friends, Hope, Merry the Mermaid, and Duke, will also return this year!
This annual celebration also features 100 tons worth of accompanying sand sculptures, the Be Good Ship Lollipop, featuring a giant pirate ship and a 50-ton sand bar where kids can play, daily things to do and see, and lots of free and affordable entertainment.

With Ferris returning to this year’s activities, guests will have a new aerial view of Sandi. Ferris rides will be available from 6 – 10 pm nightly throughout the month of December. The 50-foot Ferris wheel features gondola seating and its own light show.
Harmony, Sandi’s newest friend, will be joined by eight llamas named NOdrama Llama, NOprob Llama, Llamaste, Fa-la-la-la-Llama, LlAmour, LlAmazing, Llama Mia, and Dolly Llama. The synchronized music and light shows will run nightly on the quarter hour from 6 – 10 p.m. through December (except on days with scheduled special events). In sync with Sandi’s show, the dancing Centennial Fountain will again be joining Sandi’s nightly party. Other daily mainstays throughout HIP include additional sand sculptures that are a combined 100 tons of sand and memory-making photo spots.

Tickets are $18 per person, plus taxes and fees, and will include private access to Santa and Mrs. Claus and the only daytime ride on Ferris. You can purchase tickets at www.wpb.org/events.

Sandi sits in the middle of downtown West Palm Beach’s Great Lawn, which is at the east end of lively Clematis Street and just west of scenic Flagler Drive. There are easy-to-use parking lots nearby, or you can park in city garages on Clematis Street, Banyan Boulevard, and Evernia Street.

Holiday in Paradise coincides with the ever-popular West Palm Beach GreenMarket, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. And, best of all, the rest of downtown West Palm Beach and holiday-decorated Clematis Street are both a short walk from Sandi Land. For outstanding views of Palm Beach and Lake Worth Lagoon/the Intracoastal Waterway, go strolling along Flagler Drive.
